What is your role on the governing body?
I was elected as a parent governor in 2009 and have been on the governing body ever since.

Tell us a bit about your background
I have a background in education and currently I am a tutor at a Further Education college which I enjoy.

Why is being on the governing body important to you?
I have always had a vested interest in my children’s educational welfare. I am also interested in the standards committee and believe it is important that a parent's view is taken into account when decisions are being made.

What do you believe to be the key to success?
I think it is important to show commitment and enthusiasm in anything you do.
