Year 10 visit to Zytek Automotive

Year 10 science students recently visited Zytek Automotive, a local company which is at the cutting-edge of vehicle electric motor-hybrid design and research. The students, who are studying electricity in science and building their own electric motors as part of their coursework, toured the company which manufactures the electric motor for Mercedes Benz’s smart car. They then had in-depth discussions with Zytek’s senior engineers about their individual projects and also about the company’s products. Before leaving, the students were treated to a ride around the car park in a smart car.
