NBA continue to ‘raise aspirations’
Year 9 students at NBA recently enjoyed a ‘Raising Aspirations’ Day which saw them meet with employers from a range of professions including international law firm, Pinsent Masons LLP, retail giant, Marks & Spencer Ltd and property company, Lend Lease. Students were tasked with meeting at least 10 employers and asking them a series of questions about qualifications and careers. Each employer had a display stand showcasing their work and explaining the various job roles within the company; employers spoke to students about their chosen career and the qualifications needed to succeed in similar positions.
NBA organised the event prior to the Year 9 Options Evening, where they will decide which GCSEs they will take and, therefore, take the first step in their future career routes.
“The event was a real pleasure to be a part of. It’s such an important time for students, as they make their GCSE choice. Hopefully the day has given them some invaluable advice on possible future careers and inspired them to work hard to get their dream job.” Rebecca Glover, Senior Associate, Pinsent Masons LLP
