NBA celebrates GCSE students' success
Students and staff at North Birmingham Academy are celebrating after achieving their best ever GCSE results. The Academy gained a remarkable 94% A*-C overall, an increase of 25 percentage points in just two years. The number of students achieving 5+ A*-C including English and Maths has also gone up to 43%, an impressive increase of 14 percentage points since the Academy opened; hitting and exceeding government targets.
This good news comes on the back of superb A level results, an excellent Ofsted visit and numerous awards and accolades this year. Furthermore, as students looks forward to moving into a modern, new building in 2013 this truly is an exciting time for North Birmingham Academy.
Principal Mrs K Popratnjak said: “Every target set for the Academy has been exceeded beyond belief. The results reflect the hard work, continued effort, dedication and support of students, staff, parents and Governors. A massive well done to everyone.
