On this page we have listed general websites that offer help and advice for parents. Some of these sites are more commonly used by teachers but are another useful resource for parents who want to know more.

For all parents and carers who want to help their child or children to learn. This website goes into more detail about what your child is expected to know for each Key Stage and subject.

National education news and resources, with links to information for learners of all ages, education providers and governors, parents and employers.

Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED) - http://www.ofsted.gov.uk

Ofsted carries out regular inspections of all 24,000 schools in England which are wholly or mainly state-funded. It also reviews local education authorities, inspects initial teacher training courses and 16–19 education and training in sixth form and FE colleges, and regulates early years child care and education.
