A Level students shine at NBA

The first group of students to complete their A Levels at North Birmingham Academy have excelled, achieving an overall pass rate of 91% with many gaining As and A*s.
Furthermore, the sixth formers achieved an overall average point score equivalent to a grade B, with all students who applied for university gaining places and some receiving more than one offer.

Andrew Seager, Assistant Vice Principal in charge of the Sixth Form was over the moon and commented: “I am incredibly proud of our students who have done exceptionally well. Our approach of carefully matching the skills, talents and career desires of our students to specific subject packages has been successful and they can now look forward with confidence to their futures in higher education and the working world.”

Kim Popratnjak, Academy Principal said:  “We are absolutely delighted with these results, which are a reflection of the hard work of both students and staff and the quality of our Sixth Form Centre. Well done and congratulations to them all. We look forward to meeting the next intake of sixth formers who want to share in the Academy’s success and who will benefit from a dynamic sixth form that is constantly growing and developing to keep up-to-date with the latest technology, career and work opportunities. On this basis, from this September we will be adding three new courses to our already extensive offer. These are: A Level Business Studies, BTEC Sport and BTEC Business Studies.”
