Vocational Qualifications
Within these web pages you will find the vocational qualifications on offer at our school at Key Stage 4. Our students can opt for these qualifications during Year 9 where they make guided choices with the help of their teachers, parents and Head of Year.
Vocational learning experiences and qualifications are an exciting and alternative way to attaining examination success. Students study real – life, work based activities and are usually assessed through a range of portfolio evidence. With our vocational learning qualifications there are no formal end of course examinations.
The assessment process is ongoing, so it allows the student to analyse and improve their own performance through their course in much the same way as they would in a real workplace.
