Course Overview
In collaboration with employers this new qualifications has been designed to ensure they help prepare you for employment or university in an innovative and exciting way. The course provides a flexible approach towardslearning through a unique mix of traditional and work related learning opportunities.
As part of the course you must continue to study English, Maths & ICT alongside the principle learning units.
Course Structure
You will complete mini 30 hr or 60 hr assignments. These are called ‘Principle’ learning units and cover a wide range of different activities including mechanical and electrical engineering tasks.

- Level 1 & Level 2 opportunities
- 7 or 8 units of work to be completed
- 1 unit externally assessed through an examination
- A mix of written & practical activities
- Visits & external speakers used
- Work experience should be used as part of the qualification
