Religious Education at North Birmingham Academy is taught in accordance with the Birmingham Agreed Syllabus for R.E.
The aim of R.E. in this school is:
To promote students' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development by helping them to:
- Address the fundamental questions of life;
- Respond to such questions with reference to the teachings and practices of religions, and in the light of their experience and understanding;
- Reflect on their beliefs, values and experiences, in the light of their study;
- Develop the ability to make reasoned and informed judgements about religious and moral life;
Develop positive attitudes towards other people, respecting their right to hold beliefs different from their own, and to enable them to live in a world with many diverse religions
