NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Textiles/Food/Resistant Materials
Course Overview
This level 2 Qualification is equivalent to a B grade G.C.S.E. and is designed to give you the opportunity to develop a range of practical & design skills. The focus of this qualification is on the craft process rather than any specific materials.
It is ideal if you wish to further develop your creative skills.
Course Structure
If you choose to work in this area you will be expected to produce two different craft items. You will be using new Technologies including CAD / CAM, as well as developing the existing and traditional skills you have learnt throughout Key Stage 3.

- 3 units need to be completed for each craft item
- unit 1 – developing craft techniques
- unit 2 – develop craft ideas creatively
- unit 3 – present & evaluate a craft item
- 100 % coursework
- No exam or ‘end test’
