Mission Statement: "Your place where you are valued, respected and heard, because you all matter"

North Birmingham Academy is an inspiring place where children and young people enjoy living, learning and developing together whilst feeling secure in a school community that is student and family friendly.

Change for Children is a new approach to the well-being of children and young people from birth to age 19.  The Government's aim is for every child, whatever their background or their circumstances, to have the support they need to:

  • Stay Safe
  • Be Healthy
  • Enjoy and Achieve
  • Achieve economic well-being
  • Make a positive contribution

North Birmingham Academy always strive to challenge issues in order to break down barriers to learning, to achieve this, a team of professionals work together underlined by the Every Child Matters Agenda.

We as a team are committed to students realising and reaching their potential, by helping each student achieve the highest educational standards they possibly can by:

  • Dealing with bullying and discrimination and keeping children safe
  • Promoting healthy lifestyles through P.S.H.E lessons
  • Ensuring attendance
  • Encouraging students to behave responsibly, giving them a strong voice in the life of the school and encouraging them to volunteer to help others
  • Help communities to value education and encourage students that they can aim high.
  • Engaging and helping parents in actively supporting their children’s learning and development.
  • Make sure families play a big part in the decision making process
  • Prevent problems arising and intervene early if they do

Our aim is to support students in:

  • Anger Management
  • Managing their behaviour
  • Improving Social Skills
  • Improving their ability to work with others

We deliver our outcomes through ‘Support and Success’

The support and guidance that we give is open to all from students to parents/carers.
